Our first stop today is Edinburgh Castle, the fortified birth place of the city some 1300 years ago.

It is time to go visit where they keep the bad people or at least did keep them.
Now we enter the Castle to see some of the artifacts.
Leaving the Castle and heading towards the Parliament Buildings and Holyrood House is called the Royal Mile through all town Edinburgh. We cross the
Castle Esplanade, by the Camera Obscura, over to the Scotch Whiskey Heritage Centre and on to the Hub/Tolbooth Church with the Spire in the city.

Finally arriving at the Holyrood Palace, home to the Queen one week out of the year. Attached to the Palace is the Abbey ruins and the Queen's garden.
We walked back to downtown to the Waverley or Princess Street Gardens below the Edinburgh Castle. This is where the Sir Walter Scott Monument is.
We walked to the end of the gardens to the Rose Fountain.
