Delos, Greece
Tuesday, May 8th
The second day on Mykonos, we signed up for a tour boat to take us to the island of Delos.  It is one of the most important historical and
archaeological sites in Greece.  It is known for being the birthplace of Apollo. The Terrace of the Lions was dedicated to Apollo. There are
hundreds of temples, the remains of a lake, theatres and ancient hotels.  We spent the entire day exploring and walking around this relatively small
island.
This little island
turned out to be
much larger than we
thought.  We did not
have time to take all
of the trails.  When
the boat sails, you
better be on it.
